The question to carry into this week's staff meeting

A younger family visits three Sundays running. On the fourth, they're ready for more than a good service. Do you have a next step to hand them, a name, a table, a path forward? Or just a warm goodbye in the parking lot?

The crowd is finding the door. The quieter question is whether there's a house to walk into.

The young are showing up. The work is what comes next.

For the first time in decades, Barna finds the youngest generations are now the most regular churchgoers. Gen Z averages 1.9 weekends a month, Millennials 1.8, both climbing since the pandemic while older generations hold flat or slip. Yet even faithful young attenders show up fewer than half the weekends, and Barna's David Kinnaman is blunt about it: "churchgoing alone does not create devoted disciples ... this renewed interest must be stewarded well." The front door is swinging open on its own. What happens past it is the part no crowd builds for you.

Discipleship Pathways maps the road from a first "yes" to rooted maturity: the next step after the service, who does the inviting, what a new believer walks into at 30 days, 90 days, a year. Momentum finally has somewhere to go besides Sunday. When the crowd is younger and curious, this is the house they walk into.
